10 things I’ve let go of on my journey to zero waste

The recent equinox gives us a great opportunity to rebalance our lives and either let go of the old (Autumn/Fall) or embrace the new (Spring). As a time for reflection I found the Autumn equinox a perfect time to look back on my journey to zero waste and I discovered 10 things that I’ve managed to let go of in the past year. I invite you to also take this opportunity to look at what you could let go of or embrace to help you on your journey towards less plastic, less waste and a more positive impact on our planet.

The Equinox: an opportunity for our zero waste journey

As you might be aware, last week was the equinox. This occurs twice a year, in Spring and Autumn, and these two days are the only days each year where day and night are of equal length. A time of equality between day and night, it is also a great time to rebalance our lives. If you’re in the southern hemisphere it is the Autumn equinox, which is a time for reflection, taking stock of our lives and letting go of things that no longer serve us. In the northern hemisphere it is the Spring equinox and this is a time for renewal, growth and embracing new and positive things. So depending where you are, it is either an ending of the old or a beginning of the new.
