Thanks Rob! No, plastic pollution is by no means the only problem our oceans are facing but it has become a pretty urgent one. That’s great news about Bacardi, I’ve heard about a lot of similar action against plastic straws.

It is a bit scary how ubiquitous microplastics are — from clothing to car tyres to salt. As for soap we use bars + buy natural liquid soap in bulk when we need something that is better for cutting through grease. But it’s not just the plastic bottles that are the problem — there is also the issue of plastic microbeads that are still being used in many products including shower gels I believe. It will be a long hard battle to get rid of plastic but we’ll get there eventually! I don’t think we have a choice :)
